1. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage remains in the browser until cleared or expired by the application; session storage normally lasts for a tab/session. This policy covers Bizlif's marketing website and account application. It does not replace the cookie notice that an independent website owner may need for its own site or connected apps.
2. Essential sign-in and preference storage
Essential storage supports a feature you request, maintains a secure sign-in session or remembers a privacy/language choice. It is not used as an optional advertising audience. You can block it in the browser, but the affected feature may no longer work.
- kb_session: an HttpOnly sign-in cookie on the account/API origin. Its configured session lifetime is up to seven days; signing out clears it.
- locale: remembers the marketing website's selected language for up to one year.
- kb_privacy_preferences: records your marketing-site optional-storage choice in local storage, with an application expiry of 180 days.
- Dashboard/browser preferences and local recovery data: may remember layout, tabs or editing work until you change them, clear browser data or the application replaces them.
3. Optional referral attribution
If you allow referral tracking, a referral code from a referral link can be stored as kb_ref so that an eligible sign-up may be attributed to that referral. A session-storage entry named kb_ref_click_<code> avoids repeatedly recording the same click within a session. Refusing optional storage must not prevent ordinary browsing or purchasing a plan.
Optional marketing referral storage is off until you choose to allow it. You can change that choice using Cookie settings. Turning it off clears the marketing page's stored referral code and click markers; it does not undo a referral that was already recorded against a completed account or remove billing records that must be retained.
4. Google and other external services
The Google sign-in button loads Google's identity service when you visit the sign-in page. Google may use its own storage and receive technical information to provide and secure sign-in. The marketing website also requests its displayed web font from Google's font service. Those requests can disclose technical information such as IP address and browser headers even when a request does not set an advertising cookie.
A payment screen or an integration you deliberately open may use storage required by that provider. An independent merchant's analytics, ads and apps are controlled by that merchant and need their own appropriate disclosures and choices. We do not describe every possible merchant-installed tracker as an essential Bizlif marketing cookie.
5. How to change your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or refuse optional marketing referral tracking. Essential storage remains available for the features described above. You can also clear cookies/storage, restrict third-party cookies or use browser permissions to manage notifications. Your browser's help pages explain its controls.
Your choice is stored per browser/origin and may need to be made again after clearing data, using a different browser or after the 180-day choice expiry. Browser notification permission is a separate choice from optional referral tracking. A cookie preference does not automatically disconnect an app or cancel a subscription.
6. Updates and questions
We will update this description when the marketing site's storage practices change. A new optional purpose should not be treated as accepted merely because you previously allowed a different purpose. Review the Privacy Policy for the broader use and retention of personal information, and contact us with questions about a particular cookie or storage entry.
