1. When these terms apply
These terms apply when a website owner uses Bizlif to store or otherwise process personal information on that owner's behalf. In that context the owner determines the purpose of processing and acts as controller or the equivalent role under applicable law; Bizlif acts as its service provider/processor. For Bizlif's own account, billing, support and security operations, the Privacy Policy describes our independent responsibilities.
These terms form part of the platform agreement for the relevant processing. They do not by themselves supply a missing international-transfer instrument or certify suitability for a regulated or highly sensitive workload. Contact us before using the platform where your legal requirements need an additional agreement or safeguards.
2. Subject matter, purpose and categories
Processing supports the website, content, customer-account, commerce and communication features the owner chooses. It may include storing, organizing, retrieving, displaying, transmitting, backing up, returning and deleting information for those purposes. It lasts for the period the applicable service is provided and any permitted return/deletion or legally required retention period.
- People concerned may include the owner's team, website visitors, subscribers, customers and people who communicate with that business.
- Information may include names, contact details, account identifiers, addresses, order and transaction references, messages, content, media and technical activity records submitted through enabled features.
- The owner chooses the content and should not submit special-category/highly sensitive data or children's data without a suitable lawful basis and agreed arrangements.
3. Documented instructions and the owner’s duties
The platform agreement, account configuration and authorized actions in the service are the owner's instructions. Bizlif processes customer information for those service purposes and not for an unrelated purpose of its own. Additional instructions must be lawful, within the agreed service and sufficiently clear to carry out. If an instruction appears unlawful or incompatible with the service, we will raise the issue unless prohibited by law.
The owner must provide appropriate notices, determine a lawful basis, obtain required permissions, keep its information reasonably accurate, manage team permissions, and respond to the people whose information it collects. Choosing a third-party app is an instruction to send the information needed for that integration, subject to the provider's role and terms.
4. Confidentiality and security measures
Access by personnel should be limited to authorized service, support, security and operational purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations. Relevant safeguards include HTTPS, access controls, account/session protection, controlled operational access and measures to separate customer and application data. Safeguards may evolve as the service changes without intentionally reducing the agreed overall protection.
The owner is responsible for protecting its sign-in account, securing connected credentials, granting appropriate roles, reviewing published content and using the service in a way appropriate for the data involved. Neither party should treat a general hosting account as a substitute for a specifically agreed regulated-data environment.
5. Subprocessors and connected services
Bizlif may use infrastructure, storage, operational and communication providers needed to supply the service, under obligations appropriate to their processing. Information about the providers relevant to an account is available through our contact route. Where applicable law requires notice or a specific opportunity to object to a provider change, we will follow that requirement and discuss a reasonable alternative or ending the affected processing if the concern cannot be resolved.
A third-party service the owner independently chooses may act as a separate controller or as the owner's own processor rather than as Bizlif's subprocessor. The owner must review that provider and arrange any additional terms it needs.
6. Rights requests, incidents and legal requests
Taking account of the service and information available, we will reasonably assist the owner with relevant access, correction, deletion and other rights requests relating to customer data we process for it. We may direct an individual to the owner rather than decide the owner's obligations ourselves. Assistance must protect other accounts and allow verification of authority.
We will notify the affected owner without undue delay after confirming a personal-data breach affecting processing on its behalf, provide relevant information as it becomes available, and cooperate with reasonable investigation/remediation requests. The owner remains responsible for its own required notifications and deadlines. We will notify the owner of a legally binding disclosure request where law permits and challenge or limit a request where appropriate; we cannot promise to disregard lawful obligations.
7. International processing
Hosting and service providers may process information outside the owner's or a visitor's country. The owner should determine any location or transfer requirements relevant to its business before submitting the affected data. Where applicable law requires an additional transfer mechanism or agreement, the parties must arrange it before the restricted processing takes place. These terms do not claim that standard contractual clauses, a certification or a country-specific transfer approval have automatically been executed.
8. Return, deletion and retained records
Before ending the service, the owner should use the available copies/export methods or ask us about a reasonable return arrangement. Closing a paid subscription alone does not necessarily request deletion of the whole account. On an authorized deletion instruction or termination arrangement, active customer data will be deleted or returned as agreed, subject to legal, security and dispute-related retention.
Restricted backups expire through the applicable backup cycle rather than being edited record by record immediately. If a backup must be restored for recovery, the relevant deletion instructions should be reapplied where practicable. Information held for Bizlif's independent billing or legal purposes follows the Privacy Policy rather than the owner's processor instruction alone.
9. Accountability, review and contact
We will provide reasonable information needed to demonstrate the processing arrangements applicable to the service. Where an audit or assessment right applies, the parties should first use available documentation and agree reasonable scope, notice, confidentiality and security measures. A review must not expose other customers' information or disrupt production systems.
Use the contact details shown on this page for a data-processing question, provider inquiry, proposed additional agreement or incident concern. Include the account and processing issue, but do not send an entire customer database or unnecessary sensitive information with an initial inquiry.
